I HATE BEING A WOMAN SOMETIMES!!! I ALMOST...DIED TODAY! YOU COULD BE ATTENDING MY FUNERAL NOW!!! ARGHHHH! I HAD THE WORST MENSTRUAL CRAMP EVER. EVER! SERIOUSLY. My father almost called an ambulance! I was screaming and writhing on the floor..okay I'll spare you the details. Anyway, I'm fine now. What a horrible, horrible day. Sigh.
So I haven't been doing much. I'm still jobless. I submitted the relief teaching form already and it's been approved so I guess I need to call up schools now. I went job hunting with Mahdi yesterday (oh oh, we had the best ayam penyet and Mahdi went on a shopping spree and we went to the ah-maaaaa-zing 313@somerset!!) but it was unsuccessful - Forever 21 hasn't called back and most shops weren't hiring. I received some numbers to call from (some) helpful staff but I'm too lazy to do it. I'm meeting Nisha this Saturday to catch up and to look for a job so I'm going to do all the calling then. I can't wait!! I miss her so muchhhhh. And Deb too! That bitch left for Malaysia and won't be coming back until after Christmas, hmph. Well, if all else fails, my cousin asked if I am interested in interning at Manja or Sutra. He has friends there and he could arrange an interview for me. Thing is, I planned not to see/read/speak anymore Malay after the A Levels! Heh. I guess I could give it a try if I don't get a job by next week or something. It would be a good experience for me.
Speaking of my cousin, his company attended the Annual Boys Brigade Charity Gift Box (or something like that) last week and he asked me and my brother to come along. It was seriously an eye opener. It was my first time attending a charity event. My cousin, my brother and I went to three houses and it really made me sad when I saw the condition of their houses, their fragile bodies and how thankful they were...the third house we went to belonged to an old Malay couple and we spoke to them for a bit. The event made me realise how fortunate I am and as my cousin said, "When you think your life sucks, there are others who are worse off than you. So be thankful." Yes, except now I'm terribly broke. I don't even have enough money to go threading. Or to get highlights. Or nail polish. Andddd I'm gaining so much weight! I can't stop eating. Went to Little India last week and had thosai (or is it dosai?) and cheese naan. Gawd, I LOVE indian food. And I'm having satay tomorrow, at this place my mother heard about. I
so need to start working out lah but I'm so lazy. All I do is sit at home and read or watch TV shows and movies on my laptop. Oh, I'm done with season one of Ugly Betty. Rewatching it is the best thing ever. Daniel is so adorable when he's depressed and when he's drunk. I love it when he asks for a high five. And oh my god, I cried so much when Santos died! I'm loading season two now, can't wait to get started!
Oh yes, my latest tweets disappeared! This is so weird. And I get e-mails saying that I received a DM and I get to read them and everything but it doesn't appear when I want to view it from my Twitter homepage. Technology sucks sometimes. Okay, going to have dinner now. Toodles!
OMGGGGGGG I JUST FINISHED WATCHING GLEE! ALL 13 EPISODES!!!!! I know, I’m awesome (and I have no life). The finale was amazing! I cried so much at the ending. Can’t wait for more Glee…which start April next year. How am I going to survive???? Sigh. I went on a massive Glee reblogging spree on Tumblr and I'm going to download some of the songs soon. :D :D :D I think it's a good thing that most of the shows I watch return only next year, it gives me time to catch up on other shows. Going to start on Ugly Betty next!
I really should start looking for a job. I
still have not filled up the relief teaching form. It's such a draggggg but I really do need money. I need to shopppp. I think I'm going to get a good camera? I'm sick of low quality pictures man. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm soooo lazy to start working! Okay, going to ponder about this over lunch. I'm starving! Bye!
WHEEEEE! All of us online at the same time! I ♥ SS!! Best gfs everrrrrr. :)
We discussed and decided to scrap the idea of a cruise (there's the cost issue
and the whole parents thing *rolls eyes*) and we decided on a sleep over instead!!! Can't wait!
I totally forgot, my mother was telling me about 'Cruise to Nowhere' which is something like my one day dinner cruise at Danga Bay. One of my friends on Facebook just uploaded pictures of her trip and I got reminded. SS, do you want to go?? I'll text you guys with more information sooooooon! :D I would love to go! I went for a cruise on SuperStar Virgo when I was young...and I don't remember anything about it.
My brother started following me on Twitter. It’s the cutest thing actually. He saw that I’m always on Twitter and Tumblr and he decided to create a Twitter account so that he can follow me. Then he asked me “What’s the difference between Twitter and Tumblr?” and in my head I was like “Omg, he is NOT creating a Tumblr account too!” so I told him that there is no difference. So anyway, now he’s mad at me. He found the picture of his fake China iPhone I posted on Twitpic and he blocked me and reported me for spam. Hehehehe. Okay, he’s not really angry with me…just a bit pissed. I hope Twitter doesn’t cancel my account or something.
Anyway, finished reading The Lovely Bones today and…wow. Simply
wow. So I watched the trailer again and now I can’t wait to watch the movie! Next novel I’m going to read is Paint It Black by Janet Fitch which I borrowed before but didn’t manage to finish. Speaking of finish (lol), I finished season one of Drop Dead Diva!!! OMG, the ending is such a cliffhanger…and season two airs late next year!!! How am I supposed to wait that long???? Sigh. I'm watching Glee now and I'm officially a Gleek (a term used for fans). Got to stop my Glee marathon for a while due to Singapore Idol (Sezairi and Sylvia in the top two, please!) and of course, due to Gossip Girl! Loading episode 12 now. I hope Trip doesn't die. I actually like him despite umm, cheating on his wife. *clears throat* I'm not worried about Serena. I'm sure they won't kill off the main actress lah. (Edit: Okay, so nobody died and Trip is a major jerk! I can't believe he left S in the car like that??!!! Can't wait for the next episode...which starts March next year!! Why are all the shows on a break???) Oh, tonight is my school's prom. I'm so glad we decided not to go in the end. I cannot imagine all the trouble I would have needed to go through to find the perfect dress, etc. Ooh, my friend just tweeted that the prom is "just about prom king and queen" and that there was no dance floor. Right. Can't wait to see pictures on Facebook!
Look, I updated!!! So proud of myself. Would love to blog more but Singapore Idol is starting soon. Later!
I went for a one day trip to Danga Bay + dinner cruise yesterday with my mother and brother. I was super excited to be there since I went there before during a MLEP trip but didn't get a chance to explore the place. Being there itself, I wasn't entirely impressed with the place but it was entertaining enough!
1. Since we were early, we decided to do some shopping and fill our stomachs at the
Festive Street Mall.
My mother made friends with one of the shop owners there. They kept talking and talking and my mother was telling her our whole life story or something. *rolls eyes*
Meanwhile, me and my brother decided to play with this headgear thingy we found...
While waiting for our food...
My brother's extremely happy face. -_-
2. We took a tram (so fun!!!) which took us to the Theme Park...
On board the tram.
We passed by the area I was at during the MLEP trip.
And we reached the Theme Park!!
3. At the Theme Park!
The Grand Merry-Go-Round!
My brother!
Tea Cup.
Balloon Ferris Wheel!
I forgot the actual name for this but it's a chicken roller coaster!
...which wasn't scary at all.
I forgot what this is called also but it's an air bicycle. We had to freaking cycle that thing all around the Theme Park. So penat oi.
There's a Petting Zoo there too but we didn't enter. This was taken at the entrance. There was this woman walking around with a yellow snake draped around her neck, promoting the Petting Zoo. Didn't manage to snap a picture but I bet it's fake (okay, it's not but it was barely moving and the woman didn't look scared at all)!
This is called the Sun Dial.
4. Sine we were still early, we decided to walk around some more. We went to
Danga Beach. Well, just the area near it. We walked by the Convention Centre as well and there were preparations for a wedding dinner, which of course prompted a discussion on my wedding day. My mother jokingly said I could get married there and we could hire a bus to bring everyone to Malaysia. I don't think so. O_O
Our ship, awaiting us.
Since it was already nearing 8 pm, which was the time we were supposed to board the cruise, we headed to the jetty.
On the way there, we passed by the Theme Park again and this is how the Merry-Go-Round looks like at night. Pretty!
Our ship, all lit up.
5. Dinner cruise time!
The food was not bad. There was this tahu dish which I always ate in school. After we had our dinner, we left the dining hall and walked around.
I was exhausted by the time we reached home! On hindsight, Danga Bay did not disappoint and I had fun. It's a great place to go to relax and enjoy - there's shopping, good food, a Theme Park, a beach. It's really pretty at night when everything is all lit up. That's about it. Off to watch Drop Dead Diva!
Some of the pictures from this evening, the rest are on Facebook. Met up with Mahdi at Starbucks. He passed me his hard drive filled with TV shows and movies as promised. It’s a reward for surviving the A Levels! Thank you, <33333! So now I have - 500 Days of Summer, The September Issue, Drop Dead Diva, Glee, The Simpsons and Ugly Betty to watch. :D :D We watched the first two episodes of Drop Dead Diva. Everyone should watch it, it’s hilarious!! I went to the library before meeting Mahdi. Borrowed a few books. Currently reading Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot. I love Meg Cabot! Oh and I borrowed The Lovely Bones too!! The movie's coming out soon and the trailer looks really good. Speaking of movies, it's been ages since I last stepped into a cinema! I feel like watching Zombieland. Anyone?
To be honest, now that I’m finally done with the A Levels, I don’t feel as excited as I thought I would be. Is this normal? I think I need to get used to freedom. I’m feeling a teeny weeny bit excited already after today, thanks Mahdi! Heheh.
Actually, it hasn't really sunk in yet - that I won't be going to school anymore, I won't be seeing my friends anymore. It's just too sad. So I don't think about it.
This too shall pass. I don't even want to think about my results. Honestly, I think I screwed up real bad this time and my future seems pretty bleak right now (no, seriously). I'll cross that bridge when I get there. For now, I'm going to enjoy myself as much as possible because what else is there to do except to well, pray but I haven't done that in a long time.
It feels good to be stressing over matters such as getting a job, what top to wear and what movie to watch as opposed to things like exhange rate (yuck) and quantum physics. Anyway, I should probably blog more often here. It feels really good. Apologies for abandoning this space, I've been too engrossed with Tumblr...which is excellent for quick blogging. It's really convenient and neat. Still, my Tumblr is solely for reblogs. And the occasional mini-posts which I deem too trivial to blog here (like my latest favourite video or song...and random emo thoughts at 3 am in the morning).
Okay, off to watch the rest of the episodes from Drop Dead Diva. Byeeee.
